Hill View Montessori (HVM) is a Charter Public School serving 306 students in grades K-8. We are seeking a Lead Upper Elementary Teacher (grades 4-6) dedicated to delivering excellent Montessori education for the 2026-2027 school year.
Well-qualified candidates will have state licensure, teaching experience and a commitment to learning and applying the Montessori approach to educating children. AMS or AMI credentialing is highly-valued. HVM is willing to consider individuals without this credential if applicants are willing to pursue accredited Montessori training in the future.
Candidates should have a strong commitment to child-based, student-centered, developmentally-appropriate, trauma-informed, holistic education. Strengths should include an ability to work collaboratively, a passion for hands-on, experiential, independent learning, and a warm, nurturing approach to teaching.
Applicants should bring strong classroom management skills, emotional maturity, excellent organizational and communication skills, a love of learning, and a drive for excellence in reaching and teaching each child. Major responsibilities include:
A successful candidate should possess:
* A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required, a master’s degree is preferred;
* Massachusetts teacher license and SEI teacher endorsement;
* Experience as an Elementary or Middle School lead teacher
* Effective communication skills, both written and spoken;
* Willingness to engage in frequent dialogue and to be self-reflective with regard to teaching practices;
* Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities and differentiate instruction as needed

Compensation Range:
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications
