Hill View Montessori Charter Public School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic K–8 Spanish Teacher to join our Specials team for the 2026–27 school year. The Spanish Teacher will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate Spanish instruction to students across Kindergarten through Grade 8 in a Montessori charter public school setting.
This position plays a key role in fostering global awareness, language development, and cultural appreciation while supporting our school’s mission of educating the whole child.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach weekly Spanish lessons to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 as part of the Specials rotation
- Teach daily Spanish classes to middle school students (Grades 7–8) in 6-week instructional blocks
- Lead weekly afterschool Spanish Clubs for students and community members in 6-week blocks.
- Design and deliver lessons that are engaging, culturally responsive, and aligned with Montessori principles and state standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Foster a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback aligned with school expectations
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, Specials staff, and school administration
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and community events as required
Qualifications
- Required: Prior experience teaching Spanish (K–8 or comparable grade levels)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Warm, supportive demeanor and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player within a close-knit school community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Interest in or openness to Montessori philosophy (Montessori training a plus, but not required)
- Appropriate state licensure or eligibility for licensure in a public charter school setting
Compensation
- Salary Range: $60,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Benefits package offered in accordance with charter school policies
Start Date
- July 2026 (2026–27 school year)
